Overview
Brsh. (read: Bersih) is a modern laundry service with pick-up, delivery and personalised options. You choose your preferred laundry assistant, customise delivery, and get back fresh, ready-to-wear clothes — built for people whose week does not leave room for a laundromat.
Research
In-depth interviews surfaced the same three complaints over and over, and the same three reliefs. The pains were not about washing — they were about trust and visibility.
The joys were the mirror image: easy scheduling, freedom to choose a trusted assistant, and cashless payment with real-time tracking. That framing set the whole product — everything downstream is an answer to one of those six lines.
Persona
Sarah, 32, marketing manager in Jakarta. Busy schedule, long wait times, and no reliable way to find a service she trusts. She is the person every screen is argued against.
Information architecture
Five top-level areas — Home, Activity, Order, Promotion, Profile — with Order splitting immediately into Walk In and Delivery, because that is the first real decision a customer makes and hiding it costs a tap on every single order.
Low fidelity
Low-fidelity wireframes to test structure before anyone could be distracted by colour. Faster decisions, cheaper mistakes, and a layout agreed before a single component was styled.
Design system
Plus Jakarta Sans for headings, Inter for body, and a six-colour semantic palette — primary, secondary, disabled, error, warning, success. Every component in the kit is built from those tokens, so a change to the palette moves the whole app.
Homepage
Problem
Key information is hard to find.
Solution
Make order status, coins and vouchers prominent on the homepage.
The homepage carries four things above the fold: the active voucher, the coin balance, the current order status, and the stage that order has reached. Nothing else earns that position.
Personalisation
Problem
Regular laundry services don’t fit everyone’s needs.
Solution
Offer laundry options tailored to each person.
Customers pick their own laundry specialist from a ranked list, see the cost before confirming, and can change the pickup method at any point — even after the order has been placed.
Payments
Problem
Users face limited payment options, causing inconvenience.
Solution
Offer multiple flexible payment methods to suit user preferences.
Cash, four e-wallets and bank transfer, with automatic verification so no one has to upload a receipt. Vouchers get their own management screen rather than being buried in checkout.
Order information
Problem
Users are confused by unclear orders.
Solution
Provide a clear system to track and manage orders easily.
Real-time tracking, a plain-language explanation whenever the order changes, and a full cost breakdown — services, pickup and delivery fees, promotions, total. The adjustment card is the important one: when a garment needs different handling, the customer is told what changed and what it costs, before they pay.
High fidelity
High-fidelity prototyping to validate the decisions end to end — onboarding, order, payment, tracking, notification and profile.
